Is AMAZING!

I have been dying my hair black regularly (oh how I wish I’d only ever dyed the roots!) for about 2-ish years now and was getting so bored with the dull colour it’s faded to - still quite dark even after not having dyed it for over 6 months. 

After checking as many reviews as I could I finally got some balls and bought a box. I was a little apprehensive for sure as the reviews are mixed in that it either doesn’t work or works really well with most stating that it only doesn’t work if you don’t follow the instructions to the very last detail.

They aren’t wrong, I did everything stated on the instructions (I actually left it on for 5mins longer and also rinsed for 5mins longer - yup 15mins in total just RINSING!) and the longer I rinsed the more I squealed as I could see my natural hair colour again. Even when wet! I was almost too excited to bother with the buffer but thought I should really.

One thing I will say is it’s a little more gingery than my natural mouse brown but I did read this in reviews and have since found out dark/black dyes lighten your hair a little to take the dye - thus resulting in gingeryness when stripped. Also, I dyed my hair bright red for a good 3 years before going black so there would have been a lot of build up with that too. 

It did make my hair feel really dry, but having just stripped off 2+ years of dye I wasn’t surprised. I slapped on a shedload of conditioner and it felt fine. Do not be alarmed if yours does too!

Overall; I am so pleased! I have not been this colour since I was in my very early teens and I can tell you it’s taking some getting used to, haha. 

So, if anyone is ever sat there thinking “I need to bleach the hell out of this to go lighter” or “ARGH! It’s gone black and I wanted brown!”… chill out and buy this from boots, it’s more than F.A.B!
